As the Founding Data Engineer at Reducto, you will build the company's data infrastructure from the ground up and own the entire data stack. You will be responsible for foundational architecture decisions, creating a trusted source of truth for the business, and defining the data function as the company scales.

Own core data systems including Snowflake, Postgres, Clickhouse, and data lakes.
Manage orchestration, transformation, and the evolution of the data stack.
Build and own pipelines unifying product usage, sales, and finance data across APIs, webhooks, and third-party systems.
Model raw data into clean, documented tables for company-wide querying.
Ensure data reliability by implementing tests, freshness checks, and lineage.
Partner with Engineering on usage data and with Finance, Ops, and GTM on business metrics.
Utilize AI to build faster and maintain a foundation suitable for AI tooling.

5+ years of experience in data engineering.
Strong command of SQL, Python, and dbt.
Experience with a cloud warehouse like Snowflake.
Proven experience building and owning data pipelines in production end-to-end.
Ability to design systems that scale.
Ability to work directly with functional leaders to translate requests into deliverables.
Comfortable working as the sole data hire in an early-stage environment.

Experience as a first or founding data hire.
Knowledge of usage-based pricing, consumption models, or PLG-plus-sales-assisted funnels.
Hands-on experience with modern ETL and orchestration tools like Fivetran, Dagster, or Airflow.
Deeply AI-forward mindset.
Experience in analytics and answering business questions.
Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
