About the role
- The Glass Polisher is responsible for the efficient cleaning, polishing, and storage of glassware in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- This role collaborates with the kitchen, bar, and porter teams to ensure all glassware meets high standards of cleanliness and presentation for members and guests.
Responsibilities
- Inspect glassware for imperfections and remove water spots after sanitization.
- Stock and support the Front of House team with glassware for service.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Dispose of broken, chipped, or defective glassware.
- Clean and polish stemware, flatware, and all bar glassware.
- Partner with barbacks and housekeeping to restock glassware for bars and minibars.
- Communicate effectively with team members to uphold service standards.
- Support bartenders in wiping down bottles and maintaining the bar area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year of experience.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Keen eye for detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
- Must be able to work on feet for at least 8 hours.
- Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb.
