About the role
- The Infrastructure Engineer will own and advance Kubernetes container orchestration strategy across both cloud and bare metal deployments.
- This role is foundational to the reliability and scalability of the platform, spanning from core cloud hubs to on-premise edge nodes.
- The engineer will serve as a subject matter expert, implementing GitOps and Infrastructure as Code to ensure robust workload deployments.
Responsibilities
- Manage container orchestration across cloud and failover-edge environments.
- Oversee cluster lifecycle, GitOps, and workload reliability.
- Manage a helm mono-repo.
- Implement Kubernetes best practices for managing dynamic configurations.
- Partner with the Edge-Cloud Reliability pod on deploying and reconciling workloads to on-prem nodes.
Requirements
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret / SCI Clearance.
- Mid-level experience with Kubernetes, containers, GitOps (Flux/Argo or successor), and IaC.
- Comfortable spanning cloud and bare metal environments.
