About the role
- The Lead, Data Validation Specialist oversees a team responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data during new client onboarding.
- This role manages daily workflows, ensures consistent data quality, and serves as the primary liaison between the Data Validations team and cross-functional partners.
- It is a non-client-facing position that requires focus, consistency, and comfort with repetitive work.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Validation Specialists, supporting career development and delivering feedback.
- Manage work allocation, prioritization, and execution to ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery.
- Review and audit data validation projects to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
- Drive process improvements to increase data occurrence, reduce turnaround time, and enhance scalability.
- Develop and maintain documentation, templates, and standard operating procedures for data validation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Client Solutions, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Foster a team culture that values collaboration, learning, and client success.
- Maintain a personal set of data validation projects, performing hands-on review and reconciliation of client data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Math, Economics, or a data-oriented field.
- 3+ years of experience in data validation, financial operations, data quality assurance, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proven track record of maintaining accuracy in high-volume data environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide and influence across teams.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and web-based platforms.
- Ability to learn new systems and follow structured processes for data navigation and validation.
- Legal authorization to work in the country where the role is based.
Preferred qualifications
- 1+ year of people leadership or team coordination experience.
- Familiarity with financial data.
