About the role
- Mercor is seeking a Member of Design Staff to own the design of core user journeys across the product, ranging from initial flows to polished UI.
- The role involves collaborating with engineering and product to implement new features, bring clarity to complex user experiences, and evolve the company's clean, modern visual language.
Responsibilities
- Own the design of core user journeys across the product, from initial flows to polished UI
- Collaborate with engineering and product to implement new features and refine existing ones
- Bring clarity to complex user experiences as our product evolves and scales
- Create and maintain a clean, modern visual language inspired by tools like Notion and powered by elements like Tailwind
- Work closely with our Head of Design to articulate and evolve Mercor’s design philosophy & culture
- Help tutorialize the product experience — ensuring that users know what to do without needing to be told
Requirements
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates both visual polish and UX depth
- Passion for building products that are intuitive, beautiful, and a joy to use
- 4+ years in product design, ideally at fast-moving startups or high-bar product teams
- Proven ability to operate autonomously

- Experience building AI-driven products or marketplaces
