About the role
- The Operator III (Line Lead) helps lead daily manufacturing execution by supporting production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols. This role involves managing day-to-day needs within an assigned area, resolving routine issues, and providing direction to operators.
Responsibilities
- Support daily production plans by understanding output goals, staffing needs, and quality requirements.
- Monitor assigned work areas to identify bottlenecks or downtime and take action to maintain efficiency.
- Follow manufacturing procedures and initiate or support NCMRs, escalations, and Engineering Work Orders (EWOs).
- Support EWO execution by communicating instructions and confirming team adherence to processes.
- Provide operators with clear direction, coaching, and feedback regarding safety, quality, and performance.
- Communicate professionally with technicians, engineers, and leads to resolve routine issues.
- Maintain accurate handoffs and follow through on assigned actions and shift priorities.
- Identify recurring problems and improvement opportunities for management review.
Requirements
- Manufacturing or production experience with an understanding of floor procedures, quality, and safety expectations.
- Experience providing work direction, training, coaching, or support to teammates.
- Working knowledge of production goals, performance metrics, NCMR processes, and EWO requirements.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
