About LangChain
- At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
- With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
- Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
About the role
- This role owns order operations end to end—including booking, provisioning, invoicing, amendments, and renewals—using a modern stack of Salesforce, Metronome, and Rillet.
- The position sets the automation roadmap to ensure order volume can grow by an order of magnitude without operations growing alongside it.
- Operating as a senior individual contributor, the role partners closely with Deal Strategy and Operations, GTM Systems, Finance and Accounting, and Enterprise Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Own the order-to-cash path end to end from order form intake and booking to invoicing, revenue recognition, renewals, and amendments.
- Build out cloud marketplace operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure including private offer setup, usage reporting, and reconciling disbursements.
- Own self-serve billing operations such as usage metering, plan changes, dunning, credits, rebills, refunds, and escalations.
- Own billing and usage completeness at month-end close by reconciling every order, credit, and metered event between Metronome and Rillet.
- Partner with Deal Strategy and Product during pricing evolutions to bring the billing view into pricing and deal-structure decisions early.
- Set the automation roadmap by instrumenting the path, measuring manual touchpoints, and deciding what gets automated or designed away.
- Treat every billing error as a defect by finding the root cause and fixing the class of problem rather than just the single invoice.
- Ship automations independently when fastest and partner with GTM Systems and Enterprise Engineering for core system and product integrations.
- Write playbooks and controls covering approvals, segregation of duties, reconciliations, and exception handling for audit readiness.
- Own and improve three primary metrics: touchless order rate, signature-to-provisioned cycle time, and billing accuracy.
Requirements
- 6+ years in order management, order-to-cash, billing operations, or revenue operations at a B2B SaaS company, including early-stage or fast-scaling experience.
- Hands-on fluency with a modern billing and ERP stack such as Salesforce, Metronome, and Rillet, or comparable systems.
- Real experience with usage-based pricing including metered consumption, commits, drawdowns, overages, and true-ups.
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 and month-end close requirements for revenue accounting.
- Cloud marketplace experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure private offers, or a track record of rapid system mastery.
- A history of automating manual processes with demonstrated examples of previous workflow deletions and optimizations.
- The ability to build alignment across cross-functional teams with different priorities without relying on organizational authority.
- Comfort shipping a v0 early and iterating based on real feedback.
Preferred qualifications
- SQL, Python, or low-code tooling in your own hands rather than on someone else's backlog
