Responsibilities
- Manage shipment progress from factory to port, including shipping arrangements and monitoring.
- Coordinate shipment schedules and collaborate with production control and supply/demand departments.
- Perform practical coordination and management of logistics partners.
- Ensure accuracy of trade documents and shipment-related data, and manage shipment quality.
- Handle transportation troubleshooting and manage transportation cost budgets.
- Standardize shipment processes and execute business improvements.
- Promote initiatives to shorten lead times and improve quality.
- Utilize data for visualization and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate across factory logistics technology areas and optimize transport modes/routes.
- Engage in cost improvement and KPI management.
Requirements
- 3+ years of practical experience in international logistics within the manufacturing or supply chain sector.
- Experience coordinating with logistics partners.
- Data analysis skills including data processing, aggregation, and visualization using business data.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency (negotiation, business discussion, and document creation).
- Daily conversational level or higher in English (capable of writing and speaking for business).
Preferred qualifications
- Management experience.
- Experience in transportation cost management or KPI management.
- Experience working with overseas bases or overseas assignment experience.
- Experience in promoting system implementation or business improvement projects.
- Advanced data analysis skills for trend/fluctuation analysis and business decision-making.
