About the role
- The Principal Product Designer will join the Ventures team in London to act as the senior design voice on early-stage products.
- This role involves taking products from initial concept through test-market launch and shaping them for global scale within an internal incubator environment.
Responsibilities
- Define design vision and strategy across multiple Ventures products.
- Sequence work across teams and decide what to build at the product-area level.
- Analyze local market dynamics to shape product experiences.
- Partner with product-area leadership to shape roadmaps and priorities.
- Set success metrics and present at key business reviews.
- Deliver step-change improvements to customer journeys.
- Design scalable foundations and simplify regulatory constraints.
- Build systems, prototyping frameworks, and AI-enhanced workflows.
- Establish design critiques and planning practices.
- Mentor senior designers and hire first-line managers.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading design initiatives across multiple products.
- Experience taking more than one product from 0-1.
- Track record of spotting opportunities that improve long-term outcomes.
- Ability to connect customer research, business goals, and feasibility into a strategy.
- History of coaching designers and managers and recruiting talent.
- Experience building tools and standards that scale across teams.
- Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving, startup-style environment.
