Abnormal AI is looking for a Principal, Strategy & Transformation to join the Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy team, supporting sales, marketing, and customer success functions.
This is an AI-native, vertically integrated role where one person collapses a traditional pyramid by sourcing data, building models, running analyses, and managing senior stakeholders.

Frame and break down complex business problems, develop hypotheses, and drive the analysis to a recommendation, using AI tools as your default workflow
Build and iterate on analyses, models, and dashboards on your own that would traditionally take a team of analysts
Work across a cross-functional set of stakeholders to gather information, pressure-test hypotheses, and co-create deliverables
Present recommendations that hold up under executive scrutiny
Drive cross-functional execution after the recommendation lands, ensuring teams have context, keeping timelines honest, and escalating when off track
Wear whatever hat the problem needs, ranging from strategy to project management to hands-on execution
Coach analysts and Strategy team members on using AI to extend their own output

High agency with the ability to solve problems without waiting for permission or perfect data
AI-fluent by default, using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and coding/analysis agents as primary ways of working through analysis and modeling
Vertically integrated ability to do both analyst-level and associate-partner-level work without handing either half to someone else
Ownership that extends to chasing cross-functional execution and keeping teams honest on timing
3+ years post-MBA, with at least 2 in management consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG), private equity, or a top-tier tech strategy/bizops function or equivalent demonstrated output
MBA from a top-tier B-school, or a direct promote track record in consulting
Deep experience in enterprise tech
Comfortable building relationships and leading through influence without formal authority
Experience managing projects and large-scale transformations
Strong verbal and written communication with senior audiences, both business and technical

Cybersecurity knowledge
Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT's data analysis mode) to build lightweight tools or automations
Background in cybersecurity or another high-growth SaaS category
