SoFi is seeking a proactive, high-energy Production Assistant to serve as the backbone for top-producing Retail Mortgage Loan Originators.
This role acts as the primary bridge between borrowers, realtors, and the internal operations team to ensure files are structured for success.
The Production Assistant keeps the loan origination process moving by managing pipelines, structuring loans, and providing white-glove client service.

Develop and execute targeted marketing strategies to engage the existing book of business for client retention.
Proactively build relationships with prospective clients and key centers of influence to drive new-to-bank growth.
Pull and analyze credit reports, review income/asset documentation, and assist MLOs in determining the optimal loan structure for clients.
Run Desktop Underwriter (DU), stack files for submission, and proactively request/clear underwriting conditions to ensure on-time closings.
Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers and realtors, providing status updates and maintaining a seamless white-glove experience.
Take initial application information over the phone, schedule high-priority appointments, and manage MLO calendars.
Track all document requests in Encompass and Salesforce while reviewing incoming files within 24 hours to catch discrepancies.
Collaborate directly with MLOs and Underwriters to resolve complex file issues and documentation gaps.
Maintain strict adherence to company policy and state/federal regulatory guidelines including RESPA and TILA.

At least 2 years of professional office experience.
Minimum of 1 year specifically in the mortgage or banking industry.
Proven ability to manage client relationships and execute marketing initiatives aimed at retention and new lead generation.
General fluency in FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA guidelines.
Previous experience with Encompass LOS or similar mortgage software.
Proficiency in Google Workspace.
Uncompromising eye for detail and the ability to juggle a high-volume pipeline.
Elite verbal and written communication skills.
