Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting and operational activities for key revenue streams.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and financial regulations, including SOX.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enable team scalability and knowledge transfer.
- Partner with business units to explain the financial impact of proposed transactions.
- Support financial decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with finance and data teams to streamline data sources for reduced time to insight and anomaly detection.
- Champion and implement automation and AI initiatives to streamline processes and ensure efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an operational accounting role.
- Experience working within a publicly traded company environment.
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606 and GAAP.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret large, complex datasets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA certification
- Prior experience managing or mentoring a team
- Experience with Workday ERP
