About the role
- The Senior Product Manager for Toast Delivery Services will own the product roadmap for delivery operations, focusing on dispatch, tracking, and management.
- This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including Guest, POS, Order Management, and AI to improve delivery efficiency and profitability for restaurant operators.
- The position requires a focus on solving complex technical problems that directly impact the restaurant dinner rush and the guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for Toast Delivery and determine build priorities based on restaurant profitability and ease of use.
- Improve order dispatch processes for both restaurant-owned drivers and Toast Delivery Services couriers.
- Partner with the Guest team to enhance ordering, live tracking, and issue resolution.
- Automate exceptions and refunds using AI and rule-based systems.
- Develop AI-assisted dispatch and proactive alert systems to catch delivery problems.
- Match delivery capacity to kitchen throughput.
- Advocate for and utilize AI tools to accelerate product discovery and execution.
Requirements
- Proven track record of owning a product roadmap and driving measurable outcomes.
- Technical fluency with the ability to engage deeply with engineers on integrations and data.
- Strong instincts for the needs of busy restaurant operators and guest ordering behavior.
- Experience working with external partners and integrations.
- Ability to act as a self-starter who identifies and solves critical problems independently.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in delivery, logistics, marketplaces, or other real-time operational products.
