Zoox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Continuous Deployment to own the reliability and operational excellence of their deployment platform.
This role involves building and owning the paved path for continuous delivery and creating a trustworthy safety net.
You will work cross-functional with application teams and SRE to move services onto the paved path.

Own the reliability and operational excellence of our deployment platform
Build and own the paved path for continuous delivery, and own the safety net that makes the platform trustworthy
Work cross-functionally with application teams and SRE to move services onto the paved path, turning recurring friction into platform capability rather than one-off support
Set the technical bar for how code is shipped safely to production, and mentor the engineers around you

5+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience in platform, infrastructure, or production operations
Hands-on experience with a continuous deployment system in a large organization
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container-based deployments
Expertise with programming languages like Python, Go, or Bash, and with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Helm
Excellent customer-facing skills, turning fuzzy problems into concrete plans with measurable outcomes, driving delivery, and onboarding customers
Judgment to pick the problem worth solving — you self-direct when the problem statement has not been written yet, and can tell a loud request from a high-impact one
