About the role
- The Prime team is building a prime brokerage platform for institutional clients, including hedge funds and market makers, to manage trading, lending, and settlement.
- As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will own the design and end-to-end delivery of features across backend services, frontend interfaces, and backoffice tooling.
- This role requires working on correctness-critical systems where you will lead technical design, mentor team members, and manage the full institutional lifecycle of features.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and end-to-end delivery of features across the stack, including settlement, on-exchange credit, lending, and tokenized securities.
- Own client- and ops-facing journeys such as onboarding, account configuration, reporting, and operational tooling.
- Author detailed designs and break work into reviewable steps, explicitly defining failure states, invariants, and recovery processes.
- Uplevel the team through design-focused code reviews and mentorship.
- Move fluidly between backend and frontend development as required by project needs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support business needs.
Requirements
- Track record of independently delivering complex, high-ambiguity projects and operating them in production.
- Strong full-stack range in production environments.
- Hands-on experience building financial systems such as user balances, ledgers, risk engines, settlement, onboarding/KYC, or payments.
- Strong design judgment with the ability to enumerate failure paths and enforce constraints.
- Excellent communication skills to drive alignment across teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to provide substantive design-level review feedback and mentor engineers.
