About the role
- As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you'll be the technical lead on strategic accounts across the UK & Ireland, shaping complex solutions from first conversation to close.
- You'll also mentor other SEs, enable our partners and represent Extreme in the market.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy for complex deals across enterprise, public sector, healthcare, education and CNI.
- Design end-to-end solutions across fabric, wireless, SD-WAN, security and cloud management.
- Lead RFP and tender responses (including public sector frameworks), PoCs and demonstrations.
- Present with impact, from engineering teams to CIO and board level.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and partners, and advocate for them internally.
- Mentor SEs, lead partner and MSP enablement, and step up as account technical lead when needed.
Requirements
- Typically 7+ years in networking pre-sales, with a record of closing large, complex deals.
- Deep knowledge of L2/3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing, fabric and overlays (SPB, VXLAN/EVPN), Wi-Fi design and network security.
- Excellent presentation skills and strong hands-on lab and PoC experience.
- Tenacity, ownership and a customer-first mindset.
