About the role
- Zoox is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead Verification and Validation (V&V) efforts for their autonomous mobility solution.
- The role involves working cross-functionally with software, hardware, and vehicle engineering teams to translate corporate strategy into tactical roadmaps and execution plans.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Autonomy V&V engineering managers to translate corporate strategy into detailed product roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.
- Drive and support software and data engineering teams in standing up evaluation pipelines using statistics and simulation.
- Build scalable systems to improve the evaluation of autonomy behavior.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify gaps and escalate risks.
- Drive bug closure and contribute to test coverage tracking.
- Act as a trusted partner to engineering leadership to unblock teams and drive solutions.
- Develop project schedules, identify milestones, and estimate budgets.
- Communicate ongoing progress and program status to relevant audiences.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent job experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in engineering program management.
- Strong track record of managing complex cross-functional projects and problem-solving.
- Ability to maintain focus on the big picture while providing clear, structured communication.
- Deep familiarity with software development processes.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Gantt charts, risk matrices, Smartsheet, and JIRA.
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create visualizations of KPIs and program risks.
