About ChainGuard
- We live and breathe our company values:
- - We are customer obsessed — We focus on delivering solutions to our customers that create value and make their lives better.
- - We have a bias for intentional action — We prioritize, plan, try things, and fail fast.
- - We don't take ourselves too seriously (but we do serious work) — We are solving an important problem which takes focus, but we also like to enjoy the journey.
- - We trust each other and assume good intentions — We're transparent with decisions to empower team members to make well informed decisions.
- A few of the benefits we offer:
About the role
- We're looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer who's equal parts problem-solver, translator, and customer hero.
- You'll be the go-to person when customers hit snags with Chainguard Images, digging into technical mysteries, keeping folks informed, and partnering with Engineering to squash bugs before they cause chaos.
Responsibilities
- Triage, investigate, manage, and annihilate complex customer issues involving Chainguard Images.
- Engage the Engineering team when things get spicy.
- Keep customers and SLAs happy, informed, and impressed.
- Explain things clearly to both code whisperers and non-tech humans.
- Create detailed write-ups of new issues and throw helpful Knowledge Base nuggets into the mix.
- Prioritize your own queue, drive clarity in communication, and proactively guide issues to resolution.
- Push bugs, feature requests, and hidden gremlins up to Engineering and GTM teams.
- Seek new challenges, share wisdom, and maybe teach someone your favorite GitHub ninja trick.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours, weekend, and holiday support.
Requirements
- You've spent 5+ years supporting enterprise customers with a confident, calm approach.
- 3+ years under your belt with Linux, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deliver top-tier customer experiences with stellar written and verbal communication.
- Support teams across Engineering, Customer Success, and more.
- Comfortable in the DevOps warzone: CI/CD, Linux, GitHub, Helm Charts, Terraform, Open source and all the good stuff.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hold a bachelor's degree (STEM preferred) or have equivalent battle scars from the real world.
Preferred qualifications
- AWS EKS experience is a plus.
- Experience with security frameworks, software supply chain security, or vulnerability scanning.
- CKA, CKAD, CKS or KCSA certs and aspire to be a future Kubestronaut.
- Startup experience.
Benefits
- Monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone and internet costs
- Stock options upon hire and promotion with participation in secondary offerings and 10 years to exercise options
- 100% covered health, vision and dental insurance premiums for employee and dependents
- Flexible Time Off
- 18 Weeks Paid Parental Leave for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents
