About the role
- Axle is seeking a Sleep Technician to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) located in BETHESDA, MD.
Responsibilities
- Perform polysomnographic recording PSG on demand, one or two nights of recording per patient
- Provides technical experience to perform polysomnographic (PSG) recording
- Perform polysomnographic recording based on individual patient requirement, such as monitoring leg movement, apnea, sleep behavior
- Reviews study protocol with subjects and monitors procedures
- Document routine observations, changes in procedures, or other events to use while scoring
- Maintain logbooks, records and computerized files of studies
- Perform patient assessments
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting and training to research and study staff performing variety of neurodiagnostic testing and conducting various studies
- Score sleep records
- Mentor training to new technicians
