About the role
- The Software Engineer, New Grad joins Harvey's Engineering team to build AI-powered systems for leading law firms and enterprises.
- This role involves contributing production code to features spanning retrieval, document intelligence, and workflow automation.
- New graduates will be matched to teams including Agents, Applied AI, Assistant, Enterprise, Infrastructure, or Mobile.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and ship production-level code across the stack.
- Maintain high quality, reliability, and security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI Research, Legal Engineering, Product, and Design.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best-practice development.
- Experiment with and evaluate cutting-edge LLMs and AI systems.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Harvey platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Graduation between Winter 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Previous internship experience.
- Strong proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Go.
- Solid general computer science knowledge.
- Ability to work from the New York or San Francisco office starting in January 2027.
