About the role
- The SupplyPlatform team develops robust architectural platforms and foundational features to empower Lyft's global growth.
- The team is seeking a software engineering professional to advance the platform infrastructure supporting autonomous vehicles, premium offerings, taxi integration, and international expansion.
Responsibilities
- Help establish roadmap and architecture based on technology and understanding of customer needs
- Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
- Can help lead large projects from idea to positive execution
- Unblock, support and communicate with external and internal partners to achieve results
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
- Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with high-level programming languages
- BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong background in distributed systems, and proficient in relational or NoSQL databases
- Proven experience in designing, debugging, and managing fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems
- Experience working with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Python and Go is a plus
- Proficiency in AI toolings (Claude code, Cursor, etc)
