Skydio is looking for seasoned Public Safety sUAS professionals to join our team of Solutions Engineers.
In this capacity you will be responsible for demonstrating Skydio's true end-to-end solutions for public safety sUAS operations across a territory of state and local government agencies.

Collaborate with our nation's public safety agencies to understand their needs and develop tailored drone solutions as a trusted expert and an integral member of the account team.
Conduct product demonstrations and ensure the smooth integration of technology into customer agency operations and existing data management systems, including CAD and dispatch, video management, evidence management, and streaming platforms.
Own site assessment quality in your territory, verifying a dock location before deployment.
Run proofs of concept to a standard, executing structured deployments tied to an active opportunity with measurable operational value.
Support the airspace path your programs need, including BVLOS approvals, waivers, COAs, and remote and docked operations.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements, and work closely with cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of customer projects, including Customer Success Plans.

Strong understanding of drone technology, Public Safety sUAS operations, and regulatory compliance.
Working knowledge of public safety software platforms, including CAD and VMS, and of API integrations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
Exceptional written and verbal communication.
Comfort operating inside a Sales organization, including the judgment to know when to commit technical time and when to decline.
Active FAA Part 107 Certificate.
Ability to travel 50 to 75% of the time.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unaided.

Prior public safety service as a sworn officer, firefighter, or agency UAS program lead.
Experience standing up a Drone as First Responder program from waiver through go-live, and with dock-based, remote, and BVLOS operations at scale.
Familiarity with grant funding pathways and cooperative purchasing vehicles used by state and local agencies.
Working knowledge of Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, or equivalents.

Travel of 50 to 75% is required to support customer engagements, field activities, deployments, team onsites, and company events.
