About the role
- AeroVect is seeking a Special Projects Manager to join the Operations team in Atlanta and take ownership of a steady stream of cross-functional work.
- In this role, you will lead initiatives ranging from physical site development and infrastructure to organizational processes and equipment procurement.
- You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, taking underspecified problems from Operations leadership and carrying them to a finished result.
Responsibilities
- Lead site work end to end including evaluating and securing space, planning build-outs, managing moves, and getting locations operational.
- Own site strategy for a growing fleet by defining functions and planning infrastructure for storage, charging, data offload, calibration, and service access.
- Keep facilities running by managing utilities, connectivity, maintenance, access and security, service contracts, and vendor and property relationships.
- Procure required items for operations from requirement through deployment and ongoing support, evaluating options on cost, reliability, and lead time.
- Maintain inventory visibility of company assets, their locations, and their condition.
- Run the device and account lifecycle for the field team including procurement, mobile device management, provisioning, and recovery.
- Take on initiatives from Operations leadership and run them to completion with minimal oversight.
- Identify recurring friction and design processes, tools, trackers, or documentation to remove it.
- Communicate clearly across diverse audiences including frontline operators, executives, customers, and vendors.
- Give leadership accurate status updates and escalate early when blocked.
Requirements
- 3+ years in operations, program or project management, chief of staff, facilities, procurement, or a comparable generalist role where you owned outcomes rather than tasks.
- A record of taking ambiguous problems from first mention to fully resolved without supervision.
- Experience managing external vendors, contractors, or service providers, including scoping work and holding them to it.
- Comfort with numbers and commercial terms such as building cost comparisons and reading quotes or contracts.
- Strong writing capabilities for producing clear notes to frontline teams and recommendations to founders.
- A reliable system for tracking commitments.
- Willingness to work onsite in Atlanta, including regular presence at the airport facility.
- Ability to pass federal background checks and to receive and maintain an airport security badge.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
