About the role
- The Staff Site Reliability Engineer sets the reliability architecture for systems powering Anduril’s business and manufacturing operations.
- This role involves defining production standards, observability, and deployment infrastructure to ensure reliability scales as the platform grows.
- The position carries broad organizational reach, influencing software engineering teams across the CorpTech Platform.
Responsibilities
- Set the reliability architecture for CorpTech Platform’s production environment, including observability, deployment, incident management, and capacity planning.
- Design and operate the observability platform, including metrics, distributed tracing, structured logging, alerting, and dashboarding.
- Own deployment infrastructure and release-safety mechanisms like progressive rollouts, canary analysis, and automated rollbacks.
- Define and govern SLO frameworks to create a shared language for reliability trade-offs.
- Identify systemic reliability risks and drive infrastructure or automation investments to eliminate failure classes.
- Establish production-readiness standards and review processes for engineering teams.
- Lead incident response for complex, multi-system failures and drive post-incident processes for durable improvements.
- Develop reliability patterns for AI-enabled systems, including monitoring for model behavior drift and graceful fallback.
- Provide technical direction to SRE and infrastructure engineers and represent reliability concerns in platform-level planning.
- Drive capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance engineering for critical paths.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, production engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related discipline.
