The Strategic Account Executive will manage a portfolio of large, strategic Public Sector customers and prospects in Germany.
This role involves driving full-cycle sales, from prospecting to long-term growth, by utilizing a consultative approach to help organizations adopt GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform.

Manage and support GitLab’s Strategic Public Sector accounts.
Manage the end-to-end sales process through engagement of internal resources, partners, and the channel.
Leverage solution selling expertise to identify business potential and build long-term partnerships.
Develop plans in anticipation of customer business strategies and goals.
Expand knowledge of the industry and the company's competitive posture.
Contribute to root cause analysis on wins/losses and communicate lessons learned to internal teams.
Provide account leadership and direction in the pre- and post-sales process.
Conduct sales activities including prospecting and developing opportunities in strategic accounts.
Ensure successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products through account management.
Develop formal sales proposals and presentations addressing specific business needs.

Experience selling into highly complex organizations.
Demonstrated consistent results and overachievement of quota.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including comfort presenting to C-Level executives.
Experience with solutions selling and positioning value based on customer needs.
Deep understanding of Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management.
Ability to use GitLab.
Ability to travel if needed and comply with company travel policy.

Remote role based in Germany.
All roles are remote, though some may carry specific location-based eligibility requirements.
