About the role
- You will join a distributed team of passionate Platform as a Service engineers at Tower Research Capital.
- The role involves designing, building, maintaining, and operating bare metal Kubernetes clusters and developing Kubernetes operators.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and operate bare metal Kubernetes clusters
- Develop Kubernetes operators
- Own, maintain, and develop tooling and documentation for developers
- Package and maintain platform as a service build blocks such as stream services, data orchestrators, databases, and caches
- Bring innovation to the Platform
Requirements
- An academic background (MSc or PhD) in computer science
- Some experience outside of academia (2+ years)
- Proficiency in one programming language such as Python, Rust, Go, or C++
- Good knowledge of system programming
- Solid knowledge of Linux and system administration and troubleshooting skills
- Curiosity and a constant drive to learn
- Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written
Preferred qualifications
- Significant experience with Kubernetes as a user and as administrator
- Working experience with observability practices and tooling
- Experience with distributed systems such as Kafka, Etcd
- General knowledge of infrastructure and protocols in domains such as DNS, Networking, Security
- Familiarity with GPU operations and development
- Familiarity with CICD practices
- Basic understanding of enterprise storage solution
- Experience with infrastructure as code and/or large scale configuration management system
