Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and/or repairing injection molds and zinc diecast tools
- Responsible for making replacement components for tooling
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and in house location of all tooling
- Detecting mold component failure
- Maintaining a clean and organized work space
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Lift molds and components by hand weighing up to 35 pounds on a daily basis
- Push or pull mold plates and components across work surfaces weighing up to 100 pounds on a daily basis
- Drive company vehicles used in the delivery and retrieval of molds from local vendors
Requirements
- Two years of hands on experience in injection molding or a similar skilled trade
- Must possess a valid Drivers License
- Must be willing and able to take an active role in plant wide safety activities
- Must be able to work overtime
- Must be able to work an off shift at the company’s discretion
- Knowledge of use of measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators
- Basic knowledge in the use off machine tool equipment (mills, lathe, surface grinders)
- Must be able to read and understand mold prints
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced training in a tooling related field
