About the role
- The Receiving Associate performs activities associated with preparing orders for eaters, including picking and packing orders. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of orders for delivery drivers.
Responsibilities
- Store and stock products on shelves, pallets, bins, racks, coolers, freezers, and refrigerators with proper FIFO rotation
- Pick products to fulfill orders
- Move heavy products to and from storage areas such as trucks, shelves, or vehicles
- Keep the work area clean and organized, and dispose of trash
- Use inventory software to track and log products as they are received and taken out for fulfillment
- Help chefs and kitchen staff find merchandise and provide information
- Organize products on racks, shelves, and pallets
- Add price tags, marking codes, and stock numbers to items
- Perform weekly counting of assigned inventory
- Manage disposal of compost and trash
Requirements
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Familiarity with FIFO and food safety regulations
- Reliable with punctual and regular attendance
- Able to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts
- Able to carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a cold refrigerated area kept at 35 degrees
