Stripe is seeking an experienced accountant to join the accounting team, focusing on products developed by the Bridge subsidiary.
The role involves leveraging technical expertise in U.S. GAAP to identify accounting implications, advise cross-functional partners, and ensure timely and accurate month-end close results for Bridge products while building scalable accounting solutions.

Plan and perform monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, analytic reviews, and financial reporting deliverables for Bridge products
Identify, recommend and implement scalable accounting processes to support global growth at Bridge
Partner with business and finance teams to understand new products, features, and contracts, and advise on accounting implications
Partner with Internal Systems and Engineering teams to improve financial systems and automate accounting processes
Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and design processes and controls for emerging business activities
Understand data and system flows, analyzing financial results to identify and address anomalies
Support external audit processes

7+ years of relevant public accounting and/or industry experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional accountancy qualification, such as CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
Working knowledge of US GAAP and experience with internal controls
Experience with monthly or quarterly close processes, journal-entry preparation and posting, audits, regulatory reporting, financial-statement preparation, and accounting systems
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial audiences
Ability to structure ambiguous work and build systems and automation
Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
