About the role
- The Financial Reporting Accountant will maintain books and records for European businesses and prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- This role involves collaborating with regional and global accounting teams, outside auditors, and the internal accounting-specific Technology team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain books and records for the firm’s European businesses
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
- Prepare or review accounting reconciliations and financial schedules
- Collaborate with outside auditors and advisors
- Interpret GAAP
- Document accounting policies and internal controls
- Work with the accounting-specific Technology team to improve and automate processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- ACA or equivalent qualification
- 1-2 years of post-qualified experience in an accounting role
- Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations
- Solid understanding of FRS 102 and/or IFRS
- Organised with strong communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Fluent in English
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Familiarity with regulatory regimes
- Experience with Workday (Financial Data Model)
