The Global Category Manager for Motors will lead sourcing activities and develop procurement strategies to drive cost reductions and support innovation within a global organization. This role requires a strategic partner to collaborate with product, commercial, supply-chain, and finance teams to manage a significant portion of group spend.

Lead sourcing activities for one or more categories of spend to achieve cost reductions while maintaining product quality and service levels.
Control results and intervene in cases of under-performance.
Serve as the strategic stakeholder with supplier organizations and corporate functions to develop and execute cost reduction strategies.
Support the innovation process through supplier identification and utilizing supplier capabilities for product design.
Own category savings and implementation of projects to deliver against targets.
Monitor supplier performance and compliance with guidelines.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop new products and the motor product portfolio.
Prepare and conduct negotiations, including developing scenarios and tactics.
Lead sourcing events for market benchmarking and best-in-class cost structure.

BA degree required.
Successful, multi-year track record in Procurement.
Previous experience in a category management role in a highly international environment.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong planning and project management skills.
Strong negotiating skills.
Strategy development experience.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to manage ambiguity and drive conclusion.

Role is based in Broomfield, CO.
Reports directly to the Global Procurement Category Director based in Switzerland.
