About the role
- Join Betsson as a Pre-Match Football Trader in Bogotá, where you will play a key role in ensuring our football markets remain accurate, competitive, and engaging for our customers.
- Working as part of our Sportsbook Operations team, you'll combine data analysis, football expertise, and risk management to help deliver an outstanding betting experience.
Responsibilities
- Compile and maintain pre-match football betting markets, ensuring odds remain accurate and competitive.
- Analyze football matches, teams, players, statistics, and other influencing factors to support market creation and trading decisions.
- Monitor betting activity and market liabilities, proactively managing risk exposure.
- Set and adjust odds based on market movements, team news, injuries, weather conditions, and other relevant developments.
- Collaborate closely with traders, analysts, and risk management teams to share insights and optimize performance.
- Review customer behavior and feedback to identify trends and improve market offerings.
- Prepare reports on market performance, risk exposure, and key trading metrics for management review.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, internal tools, and best practices to continuously improve trading efficiency.
- Participate in shift-based work, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to ensure market coverage.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sports Trader, ideally within the iGaming or sportsbook industry.
- Strong understanding of sportsbook products, football betting markets, and sports odds.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities, including knowledge of statistics and probabilities.
- Deep knowledge of world football, including leagues, teams, players, and market dynamics.
- Experience using trading platforms, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to think quickly, make informed decisions under pressure, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication, organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
