About the role
- The Principal, Strategic Finance & Analytics, Incubations role will partner closely with business, product, and analytics leaders across Luxe, Monthly Stays, and Airbnb for Business.
- This role will directly support the investment decisions behind Airbnb's fastest growing emerging businesses.
Responsibilities
- Build the business cases behind major investment decisions across Luxe, Monthly Stays, and Airbnb for Business.
- Own end to end performance management for the incubation portfolio, including forecasting, goal and OKR setting, and executive reporting.
- Track and analyze full funnel performance across demand and supply for each business.
- Establish and pressure test the unit economics of each business.
- Assess how investment is allocated across the incubation businesses relative to their potential.
- Synthesize complex data into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leadership.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in an analytical role such as strategic finance, strategy/management consulting, investment banking, financial planning and analysis, business operations, or private equity.
- Advanced SQL proficiency with the ability to independently extract, analyze, and synthesize data.
- Superb financial modeling skills and extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- High ownership mindset with strong judgment and attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience evaluating growth strategies, ROI/efficiency returns, and the scalability of new business models is a big plus
