About the role
- CodaMetrix is looking for a Director or Senior Director of Account Management to lead the people who own relationships with large health systems and academic medical centers.
- This is a player-coach role where you will run a team of senior account owners, set the management standard, and directly own a small number of accounts yourself.
- You will sit between the executive team and the account owners to ensure high-touch account support and customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Hire, manage, and coach Strategic Account Executives and Account Directors.
- Build coverage depth by ensuring every account has a named owner and a named backup.
- Define what great looks like and review account plans for strategic and active accounts.
- Run a recurring executive escalation forum built for decisions, rather than status updates.
- Make the handoff from implementation to post-go-live optimization an explicit plan.
- Share accountability for gross and net revenue retention, expansion pipeline, and go-live conversion across the portfolio.
- Serve as executive sponsor on key accounts and co-present business reviews with Sales and CodaMetrix leadership.
- Keep direct ownership of a small number of accounts and run them according to team standards.
Requirements
- 12+ years in account management, customer success, revenue cycle management, health system operations, or healthcare consulting, including at least 5 years leading teams.
- Working fluency in medical coding and revenue cycle, including conversational knowledge of automation performance, denial trends, and coding accuracy.
- Experience with large health systems, academic medical centers, or integrated delivery networks, on the customer side or as a vendor.
- A record of developing senior individual contributors toward ownership and initiative.
- Executive presence with C-suite and VP-level health system stakeholders and CodaMetrix leadership.
- Experience leading through a matrixed organization without a direct reporting line into most of it.
- A high-agency, roll-up-your-sleeves style focused on building plans rather than waiting for them.
Preferred qualifications
- A credential such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or RN, or equivalent hands-on experience, is a strong plus.
