The Senior Financial Reporting & Internal Controls Accountant will lead external financial reporting activities and ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
This role involves scaling financial operations to meet public-company standards and managing internal controls over financial reporting.
The position offers high visibility and collaboration with leadership across Finance, FP&A, and Legal departments.

Lead external financial reporting activities, including quarterly and annual financial statements, footnote disclosures, MD&A, and SEC filings.
Own and optimize the financial reporting platform to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and version control.
Support accounting policy development and maintain internal controls in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
Perform technical accounting research and analysis for complex transactions and new accounting standards.
Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing schedules and serving as a primary contact for external auditors.
Support tax compliance and reporting activities in partnership with external advisors.
Maintain and enhance SOX 404 compliance, including the design and execution of internal controls.
Execute key SOX controls related to financial reporting and disclosure processes.
Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, Treasury, Tax, and Legal to support strategic initiatives.
Lead process improvement and special projects to strengthen financial reporting and scalability.

4+ years of relevant accounting experience.
At least 2 years of experience focused specifically on SEC reporting within a public company.
Working knowledge of complex technical accounting areas including equity, inventory, and taxes.
Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls over financial reporting.
Deep familiarity with US GAAP, SEC regulations (S-X and S-K), and the EDGAR filing process.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite), Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite.

Hands-on experience with specialized financial reporting software such as Workiva (Wdesk) or DFIN ActiveDisclosure
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
Big Four public accounting experience
Experience with XBRL/iXBRL tagging
Exposure to Tax Compliance
Experience in a high-growth or scaling company environment
