About the role
- Astera Labs is seeking a strategic Senior Manager of Global Safety & Security to build and lead a corporate security program protecting employees, facilities, executives, and intellectual property.
- The role involves developing and scaling global security strategies, including physical security, executive protection, travel risk management, and crisis response.
- This leader will partner cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Facilities, IT, and Executive Leadership to manage risk while supporting a safe, productive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global safety and security strategy aligned with business growth.
- Establish security governance, standards, policies, and procedures across all locations.
- Conduct security risk assessments for offices, labs, executives, travel programs, and events.
- Lead physical security across global offices and engineering labs, including access control, CCTV, and guard programs.
- Develop and manage executive protection programs for senior leadership and board members.
- Establish and operate a scalable Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) with 24/7 monitoring.
- Build and manage a global travel security and employee duty-of-care program.
- Develop and maintain enterprise incident response and crisis management programs.
- Own the roadmap for global security technology and operational resilience tools.
- Present security metrics and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in security management, Criminal Justice, Business, Emergency Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive corporate security experience.
- 5+ years leading global security programs within a multinational technology company.
