About the role
- The Senior Software Engineer will join the Gurugram Products & Technology team to provide technical direction and architecture for a new platform.
- The role focuses on building core components to simplify the development of AI applications using MongoDB.
- Engineers will work on high-visibility projects to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Work with research, product management, product engineering, and design teams to define the service evolution.
- Design, build, and deliver well-tested core platform components.
- Contribute to architecture, code reviews, and development practices.
- Mentor fellow engineers.
- Assume ownership and accountability of projects.
- Identify problems and implement solutions for complex distributed systems or databases.
- Act as a force multiplier in the software development process.
Requirements
- Strong background in building core components for high-scale compute and data distributed systems.
- Proven success in designing, writing, testing, debugging, and performance tuning distributed or highly concurrent software systems.
- Experience maintaining large, long-lived code bases.
- Track record of delivering complex projects in distributed systems or databases.
- Good verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Strong grip on foundational computer science principles.
- Eager to learn with a strong technical background.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Experience with AI frameworks and tools.
