About the role
- Snowflake is seeking a Senior Statutory Accountant based in Pune to prepare financial statements and notes to accounts in accordance with local GAAP and internal policies.
- The role involves managing statutory filings, partnering with the Tax team, converting US GAAP trial balances to local GAAP or IFRS, and driving audits to completion.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and notes to accounts in accordance with local GAAP and internal policies.
- Convert US GAAP trial balances to local GAAP or IFRS, reconcile balances periodically, and document GAAP differences.
- Ensure entries in the local GAAP ERP are recorded accurately and on time.
- Partner with the Tax team to provide information for interim and final tax provisions.
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Establish audit timelines with external auditors and standardize prepared-by-client (PBC) lists.
- Communicate audit requirements and deadlines to stakeholders, monitor progress, resolve queries, and drive audits to completion.
- Manage statutory filings, including certified annual financial statements and supporting documents required by local authorities.
- Review financial close activities regularly to identify and resolve unusual items.
- Collaborate with global Accounting Operations and cross-functional teams, including Tax, HR, Legal, and Compliance.
