About the role
- The Assembly Line Leader is responsible for leading the assembly team and overseeing the development and training of assembly operators.
- This role serves as a subject matter expert on products and standard operating procedures while providing daily reports to the Production Manager.
- The position involves hands-on assembly, wiring, and packaging of products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the assembly team.
- Develop and train assembly operators.
- Assemble, wire, and package products per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Stage assembled products in designated areas for inspection.
- Support inspection and quality activities.
- Read product and package specifications.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Read and interpret documents and fill out inspection forms.
- Perform all other duties as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Must be able to lead and manage others while promoting a teamwork environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong problem-solving mentality.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Ability to stand and/or walk up to eight hours per day.
- Ability to lift and push/pull up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally using team lift.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload.
