About the role
- The Consumer Ordering Experience team owns the core purchase journey, including the store page, item page, basket, and checkout flow across app and web.
- This role serves as the team's first dedicated web/full-stack engineer, responsible for building out the web experience from the ground up.
- The position supports global brands including Deliveroo, Wolt, and DoorDash.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the store, item, basket, and checkout experiences on web.
- Work primarily in React and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Contribute to backend services written in Golang.
- Improve code structure and shape architecture.
- Review code across the team.
- Partner with Product Managers and engineers to scope and ship changes to the ordering funnel.
- Participate in the hiring process.
- Support the growth of teammates.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack experience working across web frontend and backend.
- Experience designing, implementing, and rolling out A/B experiments.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with short XP cycles.
- Strong ownership mindset to take a PRD through design, implementation, rollout, and production monitoring.
- Track record of shipping incrementally and iterating on data.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
- London-based with the ability to work from the office 2–3 days a week.
