About the role
- The Software Engineer - Infrastructure role focuses on maintaining and scaling the CI/CD and integration test infrastructure for command and control software.
- The position supports the observability stack, including dashboards, metrics, and data pipelines to ensure system health and visibility.
- The engineer will maintain production systems while leading the team's migration to next-generation infrastructure tooling.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve current CI/CD systems.
- Lead infrastructure efforts using Terraform, RKE2, and ArgoCD.
- Perform traditional DevOps tasks including build systems, environment provisioning, and release engineering.
- Build and maintain Grafana dashboards and Prometheus metrics for system and test observability.
- Support integration with the team's Data Lake for test and system performance data.
Requirements
- Experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker Compose in a production environment.
- Experienced in GitHub branch management and release management practices.
- Hands-on CI software testing experience, especially with CircleCI.
- Experience with Grafana and Prometheus.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and ArgoCD.
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex) as part of your day-to-day workflow.
- Proficient in Python or another object-oriented language.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Helm, Terraform, RKE2, ArgoCD.
- Experience with Robot Framework testing.
- Familiarity with Data Lake architectures and tooling for metrics pipelines.
- Familiarity with MCAP data and Foxglove.
- Familiarity with Rust, C, or C++.
- Familiarity with team collaboration tooling such as Slack and Slackbot CI development.
