About the role
- SpaceX is hiring a Starlink Lifecycle Marketing Manager (Global), known internally as Communications Manager, to own multi-region consumer communications across Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa.
- This role acts as a country General Manager for communications, running demand generation, removing conversion barriers, and turning consumer insights into live campaigns, pages, and in-market assets.
Responsibilities
- Own the monthly multi-region communications plan and a dated recap covering leads email, website, ads, customer comms, and retail
- Convert consumer insights (focus groups, interviews, brand tracking, user testing) into actionable initiatives, copy, pages, ads, emails, and experiments for European, Asian, Oceanian, and African markets
- Build and maintain nurture and abandoned-cart email series; ship market campaigns tied to seasonality, reliability, ISP comparison, pricing, Roam/Mini, travel, and emergency backup
- Track email-attributed orders, volume, and conversion vs. other markets; use results to reallocate effort and retire underperforming work
- Ship country-dynamic starlink.com pages for Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa: stories, comparison, reliability, city/place, installation, and use cases
- Develop in-market ad messaging that resolves to those pages; test claims insights support and retire claims that reduce trust
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism, economics or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in brand, product, or performance communications, with ownership of a market or region — not campaign execution alone
- Available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, Refugee, or Asylee, or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State to conform to ITAR regulations
Preferred qualifications
- Direct experience running communications across email, web/landing pages, and paid or owned advertising in the same funnel
- Proven ability to turn research (focus groups, interviews, brand tracking, user testing) into shipped copy, pages, ads, and experiments
- Experience building and iterating email programs (nurture, abandoned cart, lifecycle) with attributed order, volume, and conversion reporting
- Fluency in one or more additional languages relevant to Europe, Asia, Oceania, or Africa
- Experience in connectivity, ISP, telecom, consumer hardware, or other considered purchases where trust, reliability, and comparison drive conversion
- Prior work in or for Europe, Asia, Oceania, or Africa, including multi-country and multi-region localization
- Experience prioritizing across a large, multi-region portfolio
- Familiarity with retail or in-market partner communications in addition to digital channels
