About the role
- The Tech Lead plays a key role in leading the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions.
- This is a hands-on leadership role combining strong software engineering and solution design skills with a solid understanding of data and modern data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and delivery across applications, integrations, and data-driven solutions
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, including design and code reviews, troubleshooting, and implementation guidance
- Define and apply engineering standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices
- Collaborate with business, product, architecture, engineering, and infrastructure teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Design and build solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments
- Guide application and integration design using APIs, microservices, messaging, and event-driven approaches
- Apply strong data fundamentals including data modelling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration
- Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability, and reliability requirements
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and constraints and drive practical resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technology delivery, including technical leadership responsibilities
- Strong hands-on software development background with experience leading engineering teams
- Strong knowledge of modern application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices
- Good understanding of data architecture, data modelling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and strong SQL fundamentals
- Strong understanding of security, scalability, availability, performance, and other non-functional requirements
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and code quality practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make pragmatic technical decisions
