About the role
- As a SpaceX recruiter, you will run a full desk with a variety of duties and responsibilities focused on the sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of top talent candidates to fill mission-critical positions.
- The SG&A recruiting team owns hiring for all corporate functions within SpaceX, including IT, Application Software, Environmental Health & Safety, Physical Security, InfoSec, Construction, and Materials Engineering.
- In many cases, you are candidates' first encounter with SpaceX, and it is your job to represent the company with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
- Meet with client groups to discuss headcount, new requisitions, hiring strategy, and/or interview feedback
- Screen candidates who apply to requisitions
- Source candidates through active methods
- Discuss screened candidates with client groups and recommend top candidates for interviews
- Give tours to candidates before their onsite
- Attend interviews alongside client groups to act as another set of eyes and ears in evaluating candidates
- Initiate background checks, negotiate offer packages, and extend offer letters
- Coordinate the candidate experience for multiple candidates coming onsite for interviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of recruiting experience; or associate degree and 2+ years of experience; or 3+ years of professional experience as a recruiter in lieu of a degree
- Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Position requires being onsite full-time in Hawthorne, CA (Los Angeles area)
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, Refugee, Asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years of technical recruiting experience
- 2+ years of experience recruiting for IT, InfoSec, materials engineering, software engineering, environmental health & safety, construction or physical security
- Experience with in-house recruiting
- Experience with high volume recruiting
- Experience recruiting skilled labor
- Strong tenure with demonstrated success in recruiting roles
- Full life cycle recruiting experience, from sourcing to closing
- Comfort with reviewing, evaluating and reporting on recruiting data
