About the role

  • The Director, Production Analytics owns Production Analytics globally across every site, product line, and production function including Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, and Warehousing / Material Management.
  • This is a player-coach role where you will lead the hardest analytical problems hands-on on flagship programs and build a team to run several more in parallel.

Responsibilities

  • Apply analytics to production’s biggest problems and take the hardest two or three problems in Anduril's flagship programs and build analytics into them end to end, hands-on.
  • Make the various business units in Anduril decide earlier by shifting production reporting from retrospective to leading.
  • Turn what worked into the enterprise standard by generalizing proven capabilities into supported products and standardizing definitions.
  • Answer what it takes to scale by owning the analytical side of a ramp from low rate to high rate and keeping a current, evidenced view of constraints.
  • Build the team and the foundation by leading the consolidated analytics organization and the managers within it.
  • Hold the line that the various business units own master data quality while the analytics team builds tooling that makes defects visible and cheap to fix.
  • Produce numbers the business can trust by fixing data where metrics are wrong before building on top of them.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in analytics, data, or quantitative operations, including 5+ years leading analytics or data teams, and experience managing managers or clear readiness to do so.
  • A rigorous, teachable approach to ambiguous problems.
  • Genuinely hands-on with strong SQL and a modern data stack.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify the highest-value problem in a messy operational environment and solve it analytically.
  • A track record with specific operational outcomes your work caused, with the numbers, the program, and the skeptics named.
  • Experience shipping analytics as supported products with real users, and retiring what they replace.
  • Able to influence business unit and functional leadership peer-to-peer without authority, and to work credibly with an unconvinced program team.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance and U.S. person status required per ITAR/EAR.

Preferred qualifications

  • Operational depth in manufacturing, supply chain, or planning, including fluency with routings, work orders, MRP exceptions, and cycle counts.
  • Analytical ownership of a production ramp from low rate to high rate.
  • Experience building an analytics function from a scattered starting point, consolidating people, standards, and tooling that previously sat under separate owners.
  • Databricks and Palantir Foundry, dimensional modeling and semantic or ontology layers.
  • High-rate or high-mix manufacturing, defense production, or another environment scaling volume fast.

  • Highly competitive equity grants
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees supporting health, recovery, and whatever comes next
