About the role
- FalconX is seeking a Finance Associate to join the Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting team.
- The role involves preparing full-fledged financial statements from scratch, managing technical accounting matters, and supporting M&A accounting transactions.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare complete end-to-end USGAAP and IFRS financial statements from scratch, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements (P&L), Notes to Accounts and relevant Disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory accounting frameworks and technical standards.
- Handle complex accounting treatments and technical disclosures related to financial instruments and financial products.
- Support M&A accounting activities, business combinations, and special accounting projects.
- Assist with reporting platform enhancements and system implementation initiatives.
Requirements
- 2–4+ years of relevant experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong background in Financial Services, with hands-on understanding of financial instruments and complex financial products.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare full financial statements and notes to accounts independently.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred qualifications
- Big 4 experience with a focus on client advisory or technical accounting consulting
- Prior experience working with or implementation of Workiva platform
- Prior exposure to accounting advisory services or M&A transaction support
- Experience or working knowledge of financial platform implementations
