About Ramp
- Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
- The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
- We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
- The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
- If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the role
- The Lead Product Marketing Manager for Verticals will own Ramp's vertical GTM operating model, focusing initially on Construction/A&E and Nonprofits/Public Sector.
- This role involves defining market strategy, influencing product roadmaps, and building cross-product narratives to drive growth in specific industry segments.
- The position requires end-to-end ownership of the vertical business, including market choice, positioning, pipeline management, and product adoption.
Responsibilities
- Set the vertical portfolio strategy, including business cases, opportunity sizing, and segmentation.
- Own the vertical business scorecard, including pipeline, win rate, attach, and workflow adoption metrics.
- Become the market expert on financial workflows, buying dynamics, and regulatory requirements for priority industries.
- Influence the product roadmap by translating market evidence into clear product requirements.
- Build industry-specific, cross-product narratives for Ramp's suite of financial tools.
- Define the end-to-end GTM strategy, including ICP, positioning, channel strategy, and sales motion.
- Lead market-facing programs such as webinars, partner moments, and executive conversations.
- Develop sales enablement materials including pitch narratives, sales plays, and competitive guidance.
- Run the operating cadence across Product, Growth, Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and Finance.
- Create a repeatable verticalization playbook for taking a vertical from market signal to scaled investment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in B2B software marketing, product marketing, industry marketing, growth, sales strategy, or a strategic GTM function.
- Demonstrated experience building GTM strategy for a specific industry or workflow-heavy market.
- Deep familiarity with at least one of the following: Construction or A&E software, accounting and ERP workflows, nonprofits, public sector, procurement, accounts payable, or financial operations.
- Record of influencing product strategy using customer, competitive, market, and funnel evidence.
- Experience owning integrated B2B campaigns from audience definition through execution and measurement.
- Strong data literacy with the ability to interpret pipeline, conversion, and channel performance metrics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead senior partners across cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- High agency and comfort with ambiguity.
- Fluency with AI tools for research, analysis, and writing.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience at a vertical SaaS company serving construction, accounting, nonprofits, government, or other operationally complex industries.
- Direct experience with construction ERPs or accounting platforms such as Sage, Trimble, Acumatica, Deltek, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Intacct.
