About the role
- The Marketing Automation Manager will design and build automation, orchestration, integration, and AI-driven workflows across MongoDB’s marketing technology ecosystem. This individual contributor role focuses on connecting data, tools, and workflows to improve marketing efficiency and precision.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AI driven automations and integrations across marketing technologies.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and remove process friction.
- Translate marketing and campaign needs into automated, scalable system solutions using Workato.
- Collaborate with IT, Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Engineering, and Marketing Ops to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing integrations for reliability and performance.
- Create and maintain documentation, including automation playbooks and best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert and consultant on process design and automation strategy.
- Support governance, compliance, and change management related to system workflows and integrations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing technology, or process automation roles.
- Experience with Workato or similar tools like Mulesoft.
- Prior experience with AI orchestration frameworks, LLM-driven automation tools, and MCPs.
- Strong understanding of marketing automation platforms such as Marketo or Iterable.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Comfort working with APIs, data mappings, and system schemas.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Experience with AI or ML-driven tools in marketing workflows.
- Proven experience applying structured testing methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy compliance, and workflow versioning
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other scripting for workflow automation
- Exposure to enterprise-scale marketing ecosystems or high-growth SaaS environments
